The Initial Condition: A Compromised Bite

At her initial consultation, Rasa presented with significant dental challenges that required both structural and aesthetic intervention.

• Visual Exam: The “Before” photos reveal severe wear, chipping, and decay on her remaining front teeth. Her upper arch showed significant damage, and her lower arch lacked the necessary teeth for proper chewing.
• Radiographic Exam: The initial X-ray confirmed the loss of crucial molar support in both jaws and identified failing roots that needed to be removed.

Phase 1: The Surgical Foundation with Dr. Özkan Özkaynak

Before any cosmetic work could be done, the structural integrity of Rasa’s jaw needed to be restored. Dr. Özkan Özkaynak took charge of the surgical phase to rebuild her missing bite support.

• Clearing Infection: Dr. Özkaynak expertly performed 1 simple tooth extraction and 1 surgical tooth extraction to remove the failing roots. One white filling was also placed in the lower jaw to treat active decay on a salvageable tooth.
• Implant Placement: To replace the missing molars and premolars, Dr. Özkaynak placed a total of 7 Neodent (Straumann Group) Implants—2 in the upper jaw and 5 in the lower jaw.
• Temporary Solution: Rasa was fitted with a healing denture so she would not be without teeth while the implants integrated with her jawbone over the next few months.

Post-Surgical OPG: The 7 Neodent implants are successfully placed in the upper and lower jaws to replace the missing molars and create a strong foundation for the final bite.

Phase 2: The Cosmetic Masterpiece with Dr. Uğur Gültekinler

Once the dental implants had fully healed and fused to the bone, Rasa returned for the restorative phase. Dr. Uğur Gültekinler took over to design a smile that was both functionally robust and aesthetically stunning.

• Gum Contouring: To ensure perfect symmetry for the final crowns, Dr. Gültekinler performed gum contouring to frame the teeth beautifully.
• The Final Crowns: He then placed 28 Smile High Translucency Porcelain Crowns (14 upper, 14 lower). These premium crowns were anchored to both her natural teeth and the 7 Neodent implants, creating a seamless, fully restored bite.
• The Aesthetics: Rasa and Dr. Gültekinler selected a brilliant 1M1 shade. For the shape, they chose a Hollywood Style, but specifically requested a “Softened Canine”. This subtle customization removes the sharp points of the eye-teeth, giving the ultra-bright Hollywood smile a much friendlier, more natural aesthetic.

Final OPG: The 28 porcelain crowns are now securely cemented onto both the natural tooth roots and the 7 healed implants, perfectly balancing her bite.
