The Clinical Approach: Gum Symmetry and a Balanced Bite

  • Phase 1 — the foundation (gum symmetry): before placing any restorations, Gültekinler performed laser gum contouring on the upper jaw. This reshaped the soft tissue to correct unevenness, creating a perfectly symmetrical gum line as the ideal, healthy frame for the new teeth.
  • Phase 2 — the restoration (a balanced bite): with a balanced foundation secured, Gültekinler designed and anchored 20 Smile High-Translucency porcelain crowns (10 upper, 10 lower). By expertly engineering the shape, thickness and angulation of the crowns, she corrected the crowded teeth and overbite to achieve a perfectly aligned bite — without years of orthodontics. High-translucency porcelain was chosen because it mimics the way natural enamel reflects and absorbs light.
