The Initial Consultation: The Problem
When Jason first visited us in February 2025, he was struggling with discomfort and a lack of confidence in his smile. The clinical “Before” photo and his initial X-ray show the extent of the challenges:
- Multiple decayed and broken-down teeth.
- Several missing teeth, leading to difficulty in eating and speaking.
- Existing dental work that was beginning to fail.
Our first step was a comprehensive examination, including a full panoramic X-ray, to assess the health of his remaining teeth and his underlying jawbone structure.
Initial OPG (X-ray) from 28/02/2025: This scan confirmed our clinical findings and allowed us to plan the first phase of treatment.
A Phased Approach to a Permanent Solution
To ensure the best possible outcome, our team, led by Özkan Özkaynak, D.D.S., Ph.D., developed a multi-phase treatment plan. This approach allows for proper healing and integration, which is the foundation of a long-lasting restoration.
Phase 1 (February 2025): Creating a Healthy Foundation
The first priority was to address the sources of decay and infection.
- 13 Tooth Extractions: We carefully removed all 8 failing upper teeth and 5 failing lower teeth.
- Temporary Dentures: To ensure Jason could smile and eat with confidence during the healing period, we immediately fitted him with a set of comfortable, custom-made temporary dentures.
Phase 2 (May 2025): Placing the Dental Implants
After a 3-month healing period, Jason returned to our clinic. His jawbone was now ready for the surgical placement of his dental implants.
- Surgical Placement: We placed 6 Neodent (Straumann Group) dental implants in the upper jaw, a technique known as All-on-6, to support a full-arch dental bridge.
- In the lower jaw, which still had several healthy teeth, we placed 4 Neodent dental implants in strategic positions to support a new dental bridge alongside his natural teeth.

Post-Surgical OPG (X-ray) from 22/05/2025: This X-ray shows the 10 Neodent dental implants placed precisely in the upper (6) and lower (4) jaws.
Phase 3 (October 2025): The Final Smile
Following another healing period (osseointegration), Jason returned for his final visit. This is when the transformation is completed.
- Final Restorations: Our dental lab had crafted 25 custom-milled metal-porcelain units, designed to fit perfectly.
- Upper Jaw: A 13-unit dental bridge was secured to his 6 upper dental implants.
- Lower Jaw: A 12-unit dental bridge was created, supported by his 4 new dental implants and his prepared, healthy natural teeth.
- Final Touches: We also completed two minor fillings and provided Jason with a custom-fit Night Guard to protect his new smile while sleeping.
Final OPG (X-ray) from 10/10/2025: This scan shows the final dental bridges securely attached to the dental implants and natural teeth, demonstrating a perfect fit and a balanced bite.
