The Clinical Journey: Precision Across Two Visits

Visit 1: Rebuilding the Foundation (March 2026)

When Ian arrived for his first visit, panoramic X-rays confirmed severe bone deficiency in the posterior upper jaw alongside his failing teeth. Our oral surgeon, Özkan Özkaynak, D.D.S., Ph.D., led the surgical intervention.

To create sufficient bone volume, Özkaynak performed two sinus lift procedures with Straumann Maxgraft bone grafting. Once the jaw was stabilised, he surgically placed 5 Neodent (Straumann Group) dental implants — three in the upper arch and two in the lower.

While the implants healed and integrated, Ian still needed to function and smile. During the same visit, restorative lead Özlem Gültekinler, D.D.S. prepared his remaining healthy teeth and anchored 18 metal-porcelain crowns — giving Ian an immediate aesthetic and functional upgrade while his implants fused with the bone.

Visit 2: The Final Restorative Delivery (July 2026)

After roughly four months of successful healing, Ian returned to finalise his new smile.

Gültekinler evaluated the healed surgical sites and took final impressions, then permanently anchored the remaining 6 metal-porcelain crowns onto the newly integrated implants, blending them seamlessly with the crowns placed in March.
