He then immediately continued his specialization, dedicating six more years to rigorous advanced study to achieve his Ph.D. in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from the same institution (2000–2006).

Dr. Özkaynak's career reflects a powerful commitment to both specialized practice and education. Following his postgraduate studies, he joined Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi in Trabzon, Turkey, where he lectured as an Assistant Professor from 2006 to 2009. He transitioned fully into clinical surgery in Antalya, serving the Ministry of Health before joining Smile Dental Turkey in January 2010, where he continues to provide expert surgical care.
