When is my first appointment?
Your initial appointment time is included in your confirmation email and also sent on WhatsApp. If we are providing transport between your accommodation and the clinic, we send your pick-up time the day before. That pick-up time can differ slightly from the time on your confirmation, depending on how far your hotel is from the clinic and our other transfer traffic that morning.
What should I bring to my first appointment?
Please bring your passport. Also bring any medical report or list of medications if you have not already sent them online, along with any medication you take regularly, and your planned payment method — payment is collected before treatment begins.
How long will I be at the clinic each day?
It varies by procedure. The initial consultation takes about an hour. Between the consultation finishing and treatment starting we need roughly another hour to prepare your documentation, take photographs, and give you time to review and sign the documents and complete payment. Your patient coordinator will keep you informed, as this varies case by case.
If there is a gap of several hours between treatments on a given day, our staff can arrange a transfer if you would like to return to your accommodation or explore the city.
Will my treatment plan or cost change after I arrive?
We aim to give you the most accurate plan and cost before you travel, but it can change once we take an X-ray and 3D scan and examine you in person. A 3D scan sometimes reveals conditions an X-ray cannot show, even one sent in advance. If the plan or the cost changes, it is explained in full during your initial consultation before anything begins.
When should I pay for my dental treatment?
Payment is taken before treatment starts on your first day, after you have reviewed and signed the treatment plan document you receive following your initial consultation.
What payment methods do you accept, and do I need Turkish Lira?
No, you do not need to exchange currency. We accept GBP, USD and Euro notes for cash payments at the clinic. For pounds we can only accept Bank of England notes, as Scottish and Northern Irish notes are not accepted by Turkish banks.
What card payments do you accept?
We accept Visa, Mastercard and Amex. Please note that the additional 10% cash discount does not apply to card payments, and that any transaction or exchange-rate fees are charged by your own bank rather than by us.
Can I eat before my dental treatment?
Yes — please have breakfast before arriving, as treatment will prevent you eating for a couple of hours afterwards. If you do not have time beforehand, we can provide fruit or snacks before starting.
How do you ensure my comfort during treatment?
Procedures are performed under local anaesthetic so they are pain-free. Painkillers and any other medical supplies you need are provided during your stay in Antalya.
Which languages do your staff speak?
All patient coordinators speak fluent English, and we have Russian, German and Dutch-speaking coordinators. Most dental staff also speak English fluently, and your coordinator is present during appointments to ensure there is no language barrier.
Will I be at the clinic every day?
It depends on your treatment plan. For crown and veneer restorations we usually need two days in the lab to manufacture your restorations, which means there is normally no clinic appointment the day after your preparation session.
You will be told which days you are booked once the initial examination is done. Ask your coordinator if you would like to arrange tours or activities during your stay, so appointments can be scheduled around them.
How will I receive my dental records, scans and photos?
When your appointment is booked you receive a link to a Google Drive folder. Your pre- and post-operative X-rays, before and after images and any signed documents are uploaded there once treatment is complete. You may need a Google account to view it, as the folder is shared only with the email address you provided.
What documentation do I need to travel to Turkey for dental treatment?
The process is simpler than most people expect. UK patients do not need a medical visa for dental treatment.
Your passport. It must be valid for at least 150 days (about six months) from your arrival date, with at least one blank page for entry and exit stamps.
Visa. UK citizens enter Turkey visa-free for tourist purposes, which includes a dental trip, for up to 90 days in any 180-day period.
Clinic and travel documents. Keep your flight confirmation accessible so we can schedule your free VIP airport transfer, along with your hotel booking and a copy of your treatment plan and quote.
Medical information for your dentist. Bring a list of any current medications, any recent dental X-rays such as a panoramic OPG if you have them (we take new 3D scans at the clinic if not), and details of any known allergies or serious medical conditions.
