Dental Crowns are one of most useful dental treatments for Smile Makeovers

You can think of a dental crown like a “cap” for your teeth. It can cover up severely damaged enamel that is disrupting your good smile. Crowns also form the top part of dental implants to replace missing teeth.

Dental crowns are the most common dental procedure for giving patients perfect biting and smile. Also, dental bridges are made of dental crowns, merged crowns will offer patients a dental bridge for gaps.

The crown is fitted to an implant inserted into the jawline to form a complete artificial tooth. Dental crowns can be either permanent or temporary. Crowns fitted to implants are permanent. Some crowns can be capped onto teeth stubs to act as temporary artificial teeth that improve your smile. Dental crowns are made from impressions of your existing teeth. Dentists can sculpt a crown from a wide variety of materials. In the past, metals like gold were popular for dental crowns. Zirconium porcelain crowns are also known as PFZ (Porcelain Fused to Zirconia)

Zirconium offers a great advantage with materials long term usage and its own white shade. E.Max Porcelain Crowns

E.Max Porcelain Crowns

The newest type of crown in dentistry today is known as E -Max. It is a type of all-ceramic crown made of lithium disilicate.

E.Max porcelain dental crowns are branded all ceramic products. E.Max crowns are made from a top-grade material known as lithium disilicate ceramic.

The advantage of this material is that it is supremely tough, long-lasting, and opaque. E.Max dental crowns have a translucent white appearance very similar to real teeth. These crowns are known for their strength and attractive appearance. If you are seeking dental crowns for restoring smiles, then E.Max crowns are worth considering. E.Max is a world-renowned brand when it comes to dental crowns.

You can be assured of naturally shaped and coloured teeth that will not be distinguishable from your normal teeth. These crowns also contain zero metal alloys. E.Max crowns are highly unlikely to fracture or crack. E.Max dental crowns are also fabulously expensive.

If the patient had root canal treatments, rotten teeth or a gap, we don't suggest patients have E.max porcelain crowns. Zirconium porcelain crowns will be better options for patients who had these dental issues.

At Smile Dental Turkey, we offer the same branded E.Max dental crowns that you can find elsewhere in Europe but at lower rates. You won’t be burdened with sky-high operational costs so that you can afford the brand. To learn more about choosing a dental crown and how the procedure works, contact Smile Dental Turkey.

Metal Porcelain Crowns

A number of different metal alloys and combinations are used to design base metal crowns. Base metal crowns may be designed using silver, palladium, copper, titanium, stainless steel, nickel, chromium, beryllium and cobalt. More often than not, dentists combine different alloys to create the dental crowns. Common combinations include silver and palladium, or cobalt and chromium. Titanium crowns are usually made with a single alloy.

Base metal crowns are quite hard, definitely harder than gold-based crowns. That can make it difficult to insert in the mouth. In certain parts of the mouth, base metal crowns can cause wear on nearby natural teeth. Plus, people with specific metal allergies can’t wear them anyway. For these reasons, dentists rarely make base metal crowns anymore.

Titanium might be an exception. Titanium crowns are not of mixed variety. The metal is highly biocompatible, meaning it can function well with the real teeth in your mouth. The metal is rigid but also ductile. Unlike other metals, titanium can form an oxide layer on the surface of the crown, so it’s less prone to corrosion.
