The Procedure: What to Expect

Step 1: 3D CT Assessment

Every bone graft begins with a 3D CBCT scan. Dr. Özkaynak analyses the height and width of your jawbone to determine exactly how much volume is needed.

Step 2: The Grafting Procedure

Under local anaesthesia (pain-free), Dr. Özkaynak places the maxgraft® material into the area of bone loss. Depending on your needs, this may take one of several forms:

• Socket Preservation: Performed immediately after tooth extraction to prevent the bone from collapsing.
• Ridge Augmentation: Used to widen a thin jawbone to make space for an implant.

Step 3: Healing & Regeneration
