The Clinical Transformation & Overjet Correction

Creating a symmetrical, balanced smile and correcting an overjet goes beyond just the teeth — the framing provided by the gums, and the specific angles of the new crowns, are equally important. Gültekinler used a comprehensive approach to ensure a perfect final result.

  • The foundation (gum contouring & fillings): before placing the new restorations, Gültekinler performed gum contouring on the upper jaw to create a perfectly symmetrical gum line and lengthen the appearance of the teeth. He also placed 3 white fillings (one upper, two lower) to treat underlying decay and protect the healthy natural tooth structures.
  • The correction: once the foundation was perfected, 20 zirconium porcelain crowns were meticulously designed and permanently anchored — 10 on the upper arch and 10 on the lower. The upper crowns were expertly angled to visually reduce the overjet, pulling the profile back into harmonious alignment.
  • The aesthetics: the patient wanted a bright, youthful yet realistic look. She selected the 1M1 shade (a highly radiant natural white) crafted in a Natural style. The before-and-after photos reveal a breathtaking transformation — a protruding, discoloured bite replaced by a flawlessly balanced, brilliantly white smile.
